Mental health is a passionate subject at ENS, which is why we have decided to organise a 24 hour Danceathon. Sadly, 12 men in the UK take their own lives every day. To raise awareness and money for local mental health services, volunteers from ENS and other businesses will be dancing for 24 hours non-stop; 12 hours in memory of those affected, and 12 hours for prevention.
Starting from 12:00 (midday) on Friday 26th April right through to midday on Saturday 27th April 2019, we’ll have at least two pairs of feet on the dancefloor for 24 hours solid. We’re hoping this will help raise awareness and money for our partners, South East and Central Essex Mind (SECE Mind), who provide lifesaving mental health support for people throughout Essex.
Everyone’s invited to join in on the day, just pop down to 22-24 Hamlet Court Road to support our brave dancers – it all helps an important cause!
If you’re not getting involved with the action in the offices, you can pledge your support for the cause through our JustGiving page here. Alternatively you can spread the word across social media by liking, commenting and sharing our posts on the day!
We chose dancing as the activity of choice because dancing is fun, accessible and a brilliant way to keep active and promote positive wellbeing.
We’re expecting no shortage of fun, laughter and interesting dance moves on the day, so why not get involved and pop down to 22-24 Hamlet Court Road to join in the fun for a great cause!
Don’t worry, you don’t need to be professional dancer to get involved either!
Pledge your support online here.
Pop along to the danceathon!
