Earlier in the year, we launched new Specialist Training Courses, making us one of the few specialist providers in the Essex area. With 27 years of expertise in the recruitment, care and training sectors our courses provide the skills and knowledge your staff need to expand their skill set.
Delivered by veteran trainers with years of experience, our courses can be delivered on-site at ENS or on your premises. Here’s what each of our specialist course offers:
Tracheostomy Care and Suction is all about learning the anatomy of the neck, and what types of equipment are used when an individual has a tracheostomy in place to monitor and reduce the risk of infection. The course will cover both theory and practical elements.
Our PEG care and administration course explains the conditions that inhibit orally supporting an individual’s nutrition, hydration and medication, while learning how to safely use and maintain the PEG tube and site. Each delegate will be individually assessed by our trainer towards the end of the session.
The Oxygen Administration and Pulse Oximetry course teaches about the different methods of oxygen delivery and the equipment needed. Candidates will also learn how to monitor oxygen levels as well as when and how to react in an emergency. The course will cover both theory and practical elements.
Catheter Care will cover how to maintain a catheter, record fluid balance, and promote hydration. The course will also cover how to identify problems with the catheter flow and catheter maintenance. The course will cover both theory and practical elements.
Our Male and Female Catheterisation course will cover the in-depth anatomy and physiology of this area of the body. The course will establish staff accountability, limitations and risks associated with the procedure. Each delegate will be fully assessed as competent by the end of this course.
The Bowel Management and Care course will discuss the anatomy of the digestive system, why bowel care in necessary and how to understand and support those who require assistance in managing their bowel. Our course will ensure delegates come away educated and confident to perform this task.
Stoma Care Awareness will cover the different stoma products and how to support the care and hygiene of this area. The course also teaches how to troubleshoot possible complications and the emotional needs of those with a stoma.
Our Bladder Washout course will cover the anatomy and physiology of cases where bladder washouts are required. The course will also give candidates the opportunity to learn and perform bladder washouts from start to finish. This course covers both theory and practical elements.
Each delegate will be fully assessed as competent by the end of this course.
The Epilepsy and Buccal practical training course will teach candidates about epileptic seizures, how to recognise early warnings signs and what actions to take when dealing with a seizure.
